Each day Encounters.uk suggests members you might hit it off with. Those suggestions weigh up a mix of things:

- Gender

“What you are looking for” means something casual, something long-term or friendship, and lifestyle covers habits such as drinking and smoking. Matching also looks at how recently people were active, so your suggestions lean towards members who are around.
The more of your profile you fill in, the more your matches have to work with. Be straight about what you want, set an age range and a distance you are happy with, add a few interests and choose photos that look like you on a good day. You stay in charge of your details
Your profile carries a username rather than your name, and nobody sees your email address. Your location appears as the nearest town or city: not your address, and not wherever you happen to be right now. If someone bothers you, block them and they can no longer get in touch, and any profile or message can be reported from inside the site.

Each section has its own members and its own sign-up. The features work the same way everywhere; what changes is what people come for, and so how you might use them.
Single Encounters
This is the section for people who want a relationship. Set what you are looking for to long-term so your matches reflect it, and give your profile some substance: what you do at the weekend, what makes you laugh, what you hope comes next. When someone catches your eye, a first message that picks up on their profile beats a plain hello.
Mature Encounters
Made for singles over 40, and a smaller, friendly section. Set your age range and distance first, since both shape your daily matches. Then take your time: read profiles properly, write messages worth replying to, and suggest a phone call or a coffee when it feels right.
Casual Encounters
Adults only, for fun without the strings. Swiping is the quickest way through, distance keeps things local, and being upfront on your profile about what you want saves everyone time. Chat rooms are a relaxed way to flirt in company before you take things one to one.
Milf Encounters
Adults only, and our newest section, for older women who know what they like and the younger men who like them back. Set your age range to suit what you are after, and let your photos and profile say plainly who you are.
Questions about our features
What can I do with Classic membership?
Quite a lot. You can build a profile with photos, browse and swipe, get daily match suggestions, post updates, comment, play polls and quizzes, and send a limited number of messages each day. When a VIP member gets in touch, you can read the message and reply to it.
What does VIP Plus add to VIP?
Visibility. VIP Plus members get exclusive matches, priority placement for their messages and likes, and a place at the top of the match stack. They can also buy profile boosts and Super Match as add-ons.
Are the features the same in every section?
Yes. Single, Mature, Casual and Milf Encounters all run on the same tools. Each section is a separate sign-up with its own members, so a membership, Classic or VIP, belongs to the section you joined. You can reach all four from our home page.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Encounters.uk works in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer. If you like, add it to your phone’s home screen so it is there whenever you want it.
